Aquarium Day
Prior to the PIAA Pet Expo we were invited to provide a tour of our facility as part of the ‘Inaugural Aquarium Day’. Guests were picked up and bought to our Epping facility and given the grand tour along with some key facts about our business. They were then taken back to the SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium for an afternoon full of seminars including talks by our own Josiah Pit about Growing the Aquarium Industry.
2016 PIAA Pet Expo
The Pet Expo started on Thursday with the PIAA AGM and a retailer forum, when the doors opened at 11am we were swamped by our lovely customers wanting to say hello and see what was new…. and we had some big news to share!
Aquarium Industries have been stocking Moon Jellyfish for a few months now and we have seen a gap in the market for affordable Jellyfish tanks that come with everything you need for Jellyfish success, we are excited to announce our newest product and winner of the PIAA Best New Aquaria Product Award … The JellyFlap!
Jellyflap is a 7Ltr all-in-one Jellyfish unit containing everything you need to start and maintain a Jellyfish tank. The box comes with:
- The tank
- Filter media
- Net
- Water change bottle
- Siphon hose
- Salts
- Cleaning sponge
- Power pack.
Each tank will fit approx. 3-5 of our regular sized Moon Jellyfish. The JellyFlap tanks will be arriving at AI in approx. 6 weeks, they can be pre-ordered through our retailers now.
We also stock a Frozen Jellyfish Mix to feed your newest additions
Along with the Jellyfish, everyone was falling in love with our extra-large fancy Goldfish; the range of fish on display included Butterflytails, Ranchus, Ryukins and Orandas. These spectacular fish were ordered in especially for the show, however they are available often. If you are after something in particular please let us know and we will source it for you.
Last but certainly not least Aquarium Industries wanted to showcase our amazing Tissue Culture Plants. On the 1st of September the team decided to plant our display tanks with the hope of showing the Expo guests just how our TC plants look and grow. Within 6 weeks the growth was incredible! See it for yourself below.
